I would like to hear from anyone who was a crew member on the B17G Buckeye Bell. They flew with the 305th BG. I believe out of Chelviston England 1942-1946. Anyone who new the crew or the plane, PLEASE contact me.
My father served until 1946 25+ missions. He came home, got married, had three boy's, became a Firefighter and then got killed by a lady running a stop sign. I was only 11,when he died and was just starting to get to know him.
I Would like to hear anything in regards to his service and what they went through. (I am a Vietnam(Marine) Veteran. I hope he would have been proud of me.
I love this country and am so thankful for all the sacrifices your generation made. SO I could be free. I am completeing 28 years service with the Coast Guard RESERVE. the LAST 3 ON ACTIVE DUTY.
