I have a picture of my Uncle in front of a B-25 with this insignia below the pilots window. The Bomb Jockey insignia, consisting of what looks like a hard-nosed thug smoking a cigar, goggles up on his forehead, dressed in green flight suit, with a halo and wings, holding a nail encrusted club, riding a yellow bomb with a white star in a blue circle background, was initially used from September, 1942 till about January, 1944. After this period the squadron officially adopted the "Ringer Squadron" insignia (a horseshoe "ringing" the post, superimposed on top of a world globe). My uncle, the Captain and pilot of a B-25, was shot down in October, 1944 over the Sea of Japan, but flew under both insigna's. It would mean a lot to me if I could locate this "Bomb Jockey" patch. I can always have a patch made up, but an original would be great.
