Subject: The story of my FORD GPW

Good morning everyone.
I am in FRANCE and just finished to rebuilt an original FORD GPW
serial n° is 239936 and was built on the 12-16-1944 according to the original plates.no mention of the plant.
I try to know more about this car and her story.
I bought it 10 years ago from a farmer in the center of France and it is one of the very rare jeep which never belonged to the french army :
At the end of the war, the us gave these vehicules to the french army who rebuilt them and use them up to the sixties / seventies.
For your information it has been reequipped with original military radio .
I hope that someone can help. Forgive my english and have a nice day.
