Moadib saw the Place that Takes and the Place that Gives. Let's not quibble about fine definitions please. Lets face it, blowing things up is fun (firecrackers as kids) but blowing people up is the destructive force that Takes. Having watched the World Trade Center burn, I remember sensing a real DESTRUCTIVE force masquarading as piety. Destruction begets destruction begets destruction. Mohammed Atta and losers like Baruch Goldstein justify their deepest destructive/taking urges in cloaks of religious ferver.(sp?) What a waste of piety!
And yet...for any of you with children, you all know about the opposite of destroying - creating, adding, building, growing. Frank called this the plcae that Gives. This may be way too simplistic.
The Tyrant bred some of the Desctruvtive instinct out of the human race (but not all-Kralizec). Bell? said in C:D that conflict had dropped 97% in the Old Empire after the Tyrant.
So for all of your aguments about war: resources vs. hate/fear/genocide of the less than human Other.
Comments please; even respond to my roleplaying fluff post.
