Back to the topic at hand. EVER.) You can however call me Adam (no doubt a name just as glorious). In response to your response I am having a hard time understanding what is meant by your thoughts. The premise of my writing had very little to do with the debate over whether or not DSO was a good band, rip off or whatever avenue that side of the argument was taken to. The point of my post (and maybe it did not come off this way as I had planned) was a criticism of the form the argument took. Both sides of the argument were completely out of line in their defense of their views. Someone has just as much of a right to have a negative opinion of DSO, as someone with a positive stance on them does. They have the same right to voice their opinion from high atop any mountain they wish. I do admit that it is hard to see such dislike in a place such as this message board, seeing how it is normally filled with very positive things that FANS have to say. However, we must remember that this is a REVIEW board. I also say that if you think that his post was out of line then you should find your way to a phish message board (after you start to read Dante, of course) to see what a negative review is all about. It was said by many people that this was not the place for him to voice his onions like that. I say that this was Exactly the place for his onion to be exalted from. I wonder then if those people with that state of thought would also think that it is a bad idea to hold political protests on the steps of Congress, or to wage rallies on the monument lawn. Nonsense. I borrow the word from your response. Nonsense is feeling that you have Defend DSO from the onslaught of a person’s critique of their art. Inasmuch as our love of something persuades us into promoting it, our dislike of something will most likely always lead to us (in a nice way) not recommending it to others. I would also not worry about waging such a vehement defense in an arena that is as one-sided as to the stance on the topic at hand as this. Pertaining to your analogy of "peacefulness" I can only say (and I say this 99.9% sure that you had humor in mind in making your statement about Hitler) that you might be taking this topic WAY to seriously.
