I understand that frustration well. Had a relatively bad experience at Jannus Landing in St. Petes Last Year at DSO show and also at Sunshine Theatre for Ratdog in Albq in 2003. I sure don't mean to whine either. I like getting a good rail spot and will stay put for it. I will go to great lengths to get a good spot, meaning taking the day off work and waiting in line for hours. It almost isn't worth it anymore though because of the amount of disrespect out there. I also don't feel like I'm entitled to any specific spot or space for any reason either. But that sort of disrespect is so frustrating because it goes against the grain of a core part of what the scene is supposed to be about in my mind. I generally wind up in a space comparable to the lobby as well, because it just isn't worth it. You can't see the show and the sound suffers. Enough whine though. Felt good to vent a bit on this subject. "Take A Step Back" is a great idea! Have fun folks
