Well, I for one would love to see this band in slightly larger venues, it’s a toss up because with increasing popularity come increasing problems. I’d like to analyze why the Dead were able to be a VERY popular touring band in the 70’s, playing lots of college arenas without major problems, and then getting overwhelmed in the 80’s and beyond. I guess there are a lot of factors, but I’d love to see DSO in 3000 to 10,000 seat arenas. There’s a kind of energy with more people, and I know that the DSO has the nuts to pull it off. In fact, I keep wishing they’d come out and blow away the remains of the ‘Dead’ (who are wonderful people but just aren’t playing the GD anymore) at the outdoor medium to large stadiums.
