ANOTHER ROUND LEFT IN THE SHOUT. SHADOWS OVER INDULGE
Elliots Last Shout 34 20 224 defeated Darkness Eternal 27 19 181

The Shadows ventured to Optarse on Friday night with the intention of sewing up a finals spot but it was Elliots boys who threw the race for the finals wide open.

Led by the amazing Jonathan Brown who completely outclassed the Italian team of the century in a classic shoot out. Said Browny after the match, "typical Wogs eh. Fancy bringing a knife to a shoot out"

It was lights out for The Shadows very early as the Pisspots jumped to a 41pt quarter time lead. In the end this proved the difference as "time gentlemen" was called with Elliots Last Shout up by 43 pts.

LAXATIVES RUNNING GAME KEEPS FINALS HOPES ALIVE. ANIMALS LOSE TO SEVEN YET STILL CLIMB THE LADDER.
VVS Laxatives 25 16 166 defeated Party Animals 24 18 162

Molly Gudinski didn't quite know how to feel on Saturday afternoon as his team went down to a 7 man Laxatives outfit. Ashamed of the insipid effort put up by his team yet happy to be inside the top four at the end of the round.

The ineptitude of the Laxatives organisation was on display for all to see on the weekend with the team taking the field with 7 players and the emergency failing to show.

Despite claims by The Nawab and Vijay Tiger Balme, this is a team that is in dissarray, and has been since the mysterious disappearance of previous coach Floodney Spew. Despite Spew's failings he ran a tight ship, which is more than can be said for Rooter.

The win by 4 points keeps alive the Laxatives slim finals hopes, and despite the loss, The Groovers climbed a place on the ladder to be fourth.

ORDER RESTORED AT THE TOP. GUNNERS FIRE WOLVES TANK
Swangunners 32 10 202 defeated University Wolves 22 21 153

After a 2 week hiatus that saw the all conquering SwanGunners come back to the field, order has been restored to the top of the ladder with a resounding 8 goal win by The SwanGunners.

Horse Longman was a relieved man as one would be after 2 losses in a row. With all the talk in the league of Floodney Spew looking for a new role, said Horse, "to lose 3 in a row would have been a bit tough to handle, but I know I have the support of Dick Collars and the Board, so the pressure is all what you read in the media". Nevertheless a 3rd loss would have put The Gunners back with the rest of the field, and the pressure would have been on.

The performance by The Wolves brings into doubt the validity of the draft system, as it was obvious for all to see that the Wolves weren't trying. In the end the 49 point margin was more flattering than a mini skirt wearing Amanda Vanstone

JOCK LESS JOVIAL AS MIDSHIPMEN SUFFER A MUTLEY MAULING
McHales Navy 25 13 163 lost to Wakky Races 27 20 182

In a classic Sunday afternoon preview of a potential finals matchup, the Races fired the first shot in anger accross the bow of the Navy, and scored a direct hit.

Leading by 8 points at half time The Races drew further away as the game progressed to finish up eventual winners by 19 points.

A clearly fuming Jock was measurably less jovial than normal after seeing an opportunity for his men to go equal second, and a game behind ladder leaders SwanGunners disappear. "Toop spoot is now ut of tha kwerrstun. We fooked it oop big time ta day, und tha lads ornly 'ave emselves ta blem. Ut waz tha wurst fooking parformunce in ma time wiff tha Navvy, und a few of tha lads need to tek a gud hard look at emselves. I wunt stund here and fooking cop anuvver shut effort luk thut agin"

The outburst will no doubt be looked at by the Commissioner with a possible fine heading the way of McHales stadium.
