Sources close to VVS Laxatives power broker, Hitchcock McGandhi, say long time Laxatives coach Rooter Mctempo will not be coaching the club next year. McTempo has been at the club a near record 12 weeks and boasts a win/loss ratio of 17%. Laxatives supporters are rumoured to be organising a extraordinary general meeting to vetoe the move. It is understood they are only half way to the required 250,000 signatures.

Under Mctempo's reign the Laxatives have set many trends in the RFL, particularly in the area of low scoring, and his innovative approach will be sorely missed should the axe fall. The supporters have taken to Mctempo's "numbers behind the ball" game plan and club membership has soared to 1.5 million full members and 32 million associate members. Associate members do not have voting or effigy burning rights. McTempo would not comment on the rumours other than saying "I still have some games to coach and a couple of draft picks to stich up, that's all I'm worrying about at the moment. Why worry about things you can't control. If some supporters put a bomb under the President's car, that's not for me to comment on - that's their democratic right as members".
