My meeting was pure joy. UGH. I hate the damned "team building" crap they do. Today's joy was standing on a tarp...a two colored tarp. Everyone stood on it, then we had to flip it over without anyone getting off. We all learned how to overcome obstacles from that fine activity. Then we all had to form an arrow that points due north...as a group...then rearrange ourselves according to our view of ourselves. And, finally, we had to stand in a circle and, without dropping hands, pass a hula hoop around the circle (so you had to flip it over your head, then step thru.) The last one I really loved...I had a long skirt on! I freaked everyone out...reached through to the back, pulled it between my legs, and tucked it in the waistband, rofl! I looked like I was ready to pick cotton.

Can you believe that of the regular staff there are only 5 of us not spending the night??? All the new moms are staying. Idiots. Maybe I'd feel different if I had family to watch the kid...but honestly, I don't think I'd have chosen a work event over my child when the kid was 6 months old!

We went to dinner on the Plaza. I had thought it would be at the end of the night. Nope, they set it for 4:30 so we all had to either go or find something else to do for 2 hours. It was one of those funky place where everything was just not quite what I'd ever choose to eat. One of the main ingredients was mushrooms...on and in everything. They also had a lot of smoked stuff. Just what you need when you have asthma. I finally settled on stuffed chicken. It had prosciutto ham on top...not in it (stuffed) and came with mashed potatoes and grilled veggies. The veggies were okay, but squash and such aren't my favorite. Do I sound like I was looking for a reason to not like it, lol? Oddest of all...it was served in a HUGE bowl. Why would you serve chicken in a bowl? Oh, well, it was tasty. Way pricier than anyplace I'd choose to eat, and obviously not a place that welcomes kids...no kiddie menu.

I'm glad this day is over. Another day of meetings to look forward to tomorrow...yippee. And, we just got home. Teiguen's in the bath. Getting up at 7 will not be pretty...the kids won't even get 8 hours of sleep at this rate.

I'll be glad to be able to sleep in come Saturday! I need to do a ton of cleaning this weekend so things won't be a crisis come the 18th. So far only one kid has called to say he'll be at Liam's party. If that's all that comes we'll do something special. I thought the other kids would RSVP by now. Whatever!

Well, I'm going to go pull Teiguen out of the bathtub!!!!
