這天,一位住在北京的內地網友,忽然在MSN上問我:「茶果這種小食,在香港是不是很流行的?」
我被他問得莫名奇妙。茶果?聽是有聽過,也吃過一次半次,但總不能說是在港很流行吧,至少在今時今日不是,實際上我也不知在哪處可以買到。於是回覆曰:「一般吧。何出此問?」
他說:「這陣子看了幾套TVB劇集,劇中人都常吃茶果;難道是編劇愛吃?嘿嘿嘿……」等等,是些甚麼劇集?「一套是《金枝慾孽》,一套是《胭脂水粉》。」
我失笑。查實茶果乃客家糕點,《胭脂水粉》的背景是民初香港,劇中人常吃茶果,還算合理;唯茶果為何會在《金枝慾孽》的清代後宮中出現?除了夾硬解釋那些茶果是貢品外,似乎真是編劇偏愛了。
網友又問:「那麼茶果到底是甚麼?麵食嗎?」天,要我具體去形容,真的無從入手;只好走去網上找了一堆茶果資料,全數傳給他。其中一段曰:「客家人喜歡聚在一起閒話家常,但嫌品茗太過單調,於是以糯米粉製作成鹹甜糕點,邊吃邊談。由於它配茶吃最適合,所以命名為『茶果』。」
咦?話時話,咁到底「茶果」同「茶果嶺」又有否關係呢?嘻,又可以另寫一篇文章了。
