Not very good, but I wrote it 3 years ago... When it happened.
Grandfather
I loved him oh, so dearly, he was one of my best friends.
And as most of my family knows, these friendships should never end.
But early one March morning, while I was resting in my bed, my Grammy came in my room and this is what she said:
"Grampy has stopped breathing, this is the end."
At that very moment I knew that he was dead.
Cancer killed him slowly, but now the suffering and pain was gone.
I heard a voice of peace, whispering, "It will be all right, he has moved on."
Through this experience, this is what I learned:
When someone dies they stay inside your heart so we should not be concerned.
I loved him oh, so dearly, he was one of my best friends, but as a small amount of people know, these friendships never have to end.
Forgive me, but it was one of my first poems. Oh, well...
