i know where you are comming from. my wife and i bought a puppy a year and a half ago. before we got home we knew he was deaf. but now he truly is a blessing . i have owned approx 30 bulldogs thruout my life he is by far the best. be patient and just replace word commands with simple hand signals. you will be amazed how fast he will learn. they actually learn easier than a normal dog. [ no sound destractions] he will watch your every move and want to be by yuor side. they love children the keds can also learn the hand signals. p.s. make it a point to touch him alot when he is sleeping. this is one of the most scariest moments for him. [ being awakend] good luck and enjoy your blessing for God knew this pup was going to need a special person so you are that person.
