Date Posted:23:32:38 12/07/05 Wed Author: Jennifer Subject: It wasn't just advertising Deemus....you had two very big producers in Devlin & Singer (Independence Day, X-Men, the next Superman) you had 3 male actors who are well-known Neill, Stoltz, Phillips (Jurassic Park, Hunt for Red October, Memphis Belle, Mask, La Bamba, Courage Under Fire) Bruce Davison has been in the business 30+ years, Catherine coming off of JAG, etc....Sure it was promoted, but it also had a good team behind & infront of the cameras. I'm glad for them all, & glad that our JAG crew is finding work. In reply to:

Oh I agree with on CBS and the fact that they never seem care enough to promote JAG....And I'm not saying that promotion didn't help, but there were lots of factors IMHO that made The Triangle the success that it was :) -- Jennifer, 10:36:55 12/09/05 Fri

To me the show was a real dud. None of the actors or characters did anything for me.
The story line was less than stellar. Lou Diamond character was a waste to the story. It added nothing other than to give the impression that the Triangle had an effect on life outside the triangle.
it was nice to see him end up with boy number two.
Triangle did pose intersting questions during the first part.
What happened to the passengers?
Why was the little girl the only one left?
Why were there so many sluggish sharks around?
Obviously the plane went through a vortex, but how did the little girl survive for 60 years?
CB or Emily's vision gave many answers to those questions. She saw the plane sinking in the water. Many of the passengers got out, but were in the water. Many I must assume were injured and bleeding enough to attract the sharks.
So the sharks arrived and ate all the surviving passengers before the rescue ship arrived with the FAB FOUR.
As for the girl, she had gone to the restroom. She didn't get out before the plane went back in time.
But how did she survive? It surely was quite cold. Regular food sources would run out within several months to a year. I suppose she could have eaten the dead corpses, but how long would they be edible to eat?
What about drinking water? Surely there wasn't enough air on board for sixty years even if the girl sept 90% of the time.
In the end the movie was 6 hours long. It easily could have been cut down to 2 hours, even 1.
A 6 hour movie only gave them more opportunity to sell more ads to pay their stars, only CB was worth watching.
Other than CB the only part of the movie worth watching was the end when we see all the planes and ships together converging in one time period. It was an amazing sight.
