Hey, I'm with you there. No doubt the A-10 leaves much to be desired, but hey, you do with what you have, right? And UC does have Wake, Marquette, Memphis and an improving Charlotte team still to go in order to strengthen the SOS. That will certainly be a better gauge of the team than what X still has. X still faces some tests, but I like the fact that we are coming in under the radar. We can't expect respect until we earn it, and that may have to come in the A-10 tourney and beyond. So be it. UC is entering a tough stretch here and we'll find out what they're made of. I think X showed a lot today against UD and during their recent road swing. They aren't losing the games they were "supposed to" as in years past and that is a definite step up. The rest of the schedule, at least on paper, looks good but games at Richmond and Bonaventure won't be easy, then there's St. Joe's and the always dangerous UMass and Temple. The A-10 is weird b/c you never know who will show up from night to night. I give UC a lot of credit but I think their gut check is coming next week. I hope they do well. It's a chance to sew up a number 1 seed in the Dance. Best of luck. I don't like UC any more than you guys like X, but I know a good team when I see one and I give respect where respect is due. I think it's due for Xavier too.

  • I like easy schedules. That's why I'd like UC to play UK. Unfortunately, you can't schedule fear. (NT) -- Ray Pfriem, 12:01:05 01/27/02 Sun
