隱睪馬匹的性別以代號「r」標識

香港賽馬會將會依照國際賽馬業的標準做法，在發放的賽馬資訊中，以「r」作為標識隱睪馬匹（"rig"，即是cryptorchid）性別的代號。

在雄馬之中，偶有一側或兩側睪丸未能自然降落到陰囊中而留在體內的情況，但這些隱藏的睪丸仍然能夠製造雄性荷爾蒙睪酮，令該駒具有雄性的特徵。此等馬匹稱為「隱睪馬」，牠們間中亦會出現類似雄馬的行為。

此等馬匹日後如經手術摘除隱藏於體內的睪丸，並且徹底閹割後，就會改稱「閹馬」，並且按照一貫做法以「g」作為其性別代號。

香港現役馬匹之中，目前只有「歡樂精英」（D306）為隱睪馬。
