Subject: *ZOMBIE TRIES TO ATTACK QUEEN ELIZABETH II

A #zombie was arrested as he tried to scale the garden wall at #BuckinghamPalace yesterday. It is reported that his decomposing arms fell off as he was attempting to climb and he was found sprawled on the ground by members of the Royal Protection Squad. The mouldering monstrosity was identified as Julian Faversham, (the anti-hero of the notorious, but very funny, #politicalsatire “The Zombie, the Cat, and Barack Obama” by Christopher Antony Meade). Faversham had escaped from the novella and was apparently trying to re-establish his psychopathic credentials by attacking Her Majesty. It has already been reported here that the cantankerous cadaver objects to being in a comedy and would prefer to be written into a much more serious book.

The zombie has now been returned to the #novella and Meade has been advised to keep his characters under better control in future.

A palace source said unofficially, “#TheQueen has being dealing with politicians for sixty years. Coping with the brain-dead means that the #undead do not present any problems to her”.

Why does the humourless zombie find this book so objectionable? Is it really that funny?
