wow, that's harsh. So you are saying that all of these treatment centers across the U.S. are all bogus? That their success rate hovers around zero percent?

Look, you're most likely right. The chances aren't great that he's going to walk out and start acting like a man. He's already causing problems - although to his credit, he is now going to Louisiana for a program that lasts at least three months.

Anyway, my wife is sucked into all of this big time. Speaking with her brother multiple times a day. Speaking with various counselors and program administrators. Doing conference calls. Keeping her parents up to date. All that is cool with me, but I told her if he walks out or gets himself kicked out or if he starts using again, he's never again allowed in my house and I'll have serious problems if she tries to help him again. This is his one shot with my family and if he blows it, then have a nice life.

Like I said though, chances are that you are right. I figure you got to humble yourself to the nth degree to have a shot. And I'm not hearing a humble person on the other end of my wife's conversations.
