tromp de le monde or something like that. i have several albums, but that one is the only one i was ever really able to get into on a consistent basis.

i had a similar experience last spring when split lip/chamberlain (my namesake) reunited for a series of shows to celebrate the release of a book covering the hardcore movement of the late 80s and 90s. it literally was a deluge of nostalgia and good feeling as they played so many of those anthems that filled the waking hours of my teen angst driven years. i grew up to that band and each monumental stage i came to, there seemed to be song from those group of dreamers. oddly enough, david moore released his solo album this past summer, which is nothing short of amazing. it's called my lover, my stranger. his song "corners" was the wifey and my first dance.

if you get the chance, they are doing one more reunion show in nyc in december. their myspace/facebook page has more info. i'd encourage you to check it out if you can fit it into your schedule. i'd about break my neck to get there. alas, we have a honeymoon coming up on december a week after the show. money issues wouldn't allow me to make the trek to the big city to partake one last time. i shouldn't be spending the money for the bengals game, but i can't help myself. it's damn exciting.

take care of yourselves,

chamberlain
