I was down .6 which shocked the heck out of me!

We took the kids to Golden corral the night before and were still eating at 9pm so all my food was still with me. I slept through the early meeting and then only weighed in and didn't stay for the later one as Hannah was "watching' the other 2 who were still asleep.

I guess we're going to have to go Thursay night this week since they're closed fri and sat(which means I'll have to find a sitter. uugh.) I've thought about finding another center that is open Friday morning.

AF showed up yesterday for the first time since DEC! So that may have some impact as well.

Curves did not go well and even thinking about it makes me want to vomit. Not only did I have to cancel in writing, but you are supposed to give 30 days notice as well! It is in the contract and I signed it, but I honestly don't rembember discussing the fine print. Connie had gone ahead and put the July check in and I was actually hoping it would have bounced! The are legaly able to do what they are doing, but morally it is so wrong. I will never sign anything like that again and I'll never go back to a company that knowingly steals money. I did mention to shawn that they could send a reminder letter and he said he'd consider that. He actually had the gall to tell me that they do it that way because people get upset if they cancel them at the end of their 12 month contract. I know there are alternative curve like places popping up and I would support them if I ever have time to join again. I'm in tears just thinking about it again!!!

thanks for thinking of me. I posted this here rather than the other place because no one seems to care about me there. Check the shout outs, I'm not missed at all! Sigh

But I am supporting you no matter what. We have Curves up here, too, but I've never been a part of something like that - I would like to, but between the time and the expense, I guess I'll just walk my miles at work!

When are you back to work?

2 teacher work days + 2 days of workshops, then school starts Monday the 26. Some break eh?

And in regards to Curves when I joined them mar 03 I signed a 12 month contract and let them electronically deduct the $29 each month from my checking account. I thought (and didn't remember any different) that when the contract expired in march they would quit taking the money. WRONG. I quit going in Dec when i got my job but knew I was obligated to pay until mar. Jon mentioned that they were taking the money in April, but life was so crazy and I honestly thought it was a mistake. Well... it wasn't and we were so slow going to get it worked out and you had to cancel in writing. I ended up paying for March, april may june and july and I quit last fall! Money in their pocket! This curves is owned by a married active LDS church couple! How do they go to their temple interviews when they are stealing people's money??? And they never called or wrote a letter reminding me of my obligation to continue paying until I officially canceled!

Bitter taste all around

And I agree - it would be hard to go through that interview and be honest with an answer!

Sorry that you are back to work - so am I. It is the first summer in over 20 years that I am working fulltime while the kids are on summer vacation. Trust me, I am feeling horribly guilty...I take Sam to daycare, but for the next 3 wks, he'll be completely at home. By the end of the day, I can hardly wait to get out of work!
