I'm being outspoken here because I don't think I'm the only one that feels like this. I used to absolutely love checking our old board several times a day, now I only check our board every other day or so. I feel like the group is really dwindling - not only the post'ers, but also the lurkers too.

1 - I still don't like the board here, it loads *very* slow on my DSL account, I hate clicking on everyone's response (and w a i t i n g for it to load). I really liked the MSN format of being able to view everyone's responses at once. I don't like having to "learn" HTML to post special ways or pictures.

2 - no passwords for viewing or posting. As I was looking around different boards and came across a couple that I wanted to see or even post at, they were password protected. I think that really limits new members & lurkers - it turned me away from those boards. I just don't like being so "exclusive".

3 - I really don't think we will ever get new members here, and I think we should stay in a more "public" venue to maybe catch new people.

Again at MSN, there's the ability to delete your own posts, and we could set up several message "boards" on 1 board - 1 could be for open viewing/posting and another that could be password protected. The "manager" (and there can be several) is able to "ban" members if the need arises. And... it loads fast, no pop-ups......
