She did it then, but was too short to start. So I had to push her and then she would continue on. So she was 3 3/4 yrs old. Pretty young, but she insisted she wanted her training wheels off and so I did it never thinking she would be able to do it. She sure surprised me. Then we had winter. In spring of last year, right after they were 4, she was tall enough and could start by herself.

One good tip I got was from Tricia's dh. He said something about the seat being higher might make it easier to start. I tried it and she was able to start immediately by herself.

She is crazy though. She loves to do burn outs and rides now while standing up. She even does the burnouts where she brings her rear tire around to the side. Makes me crazy. But she loves it. The little daredevil. She has her Dad's blood in her for sure.
