I hope that Jayton is on the mend! Do you have any cast iron pans? If so, start using them to cook his food, microscopic bits of iron will adhere to the food and boost his iron. If not, Lodge makes great pans (and has for the last 120 years) and now they make preseasoned pans that have already been 'cured' so they are ready and easy to use. Try Academy for the pans or on-line, I got a huge 17 inch skillet for DH a few years ago when Amazon was pushing free shipping with kitchen orders. Chefs catalog should have them too!
