Subject: On another one of my crazy kicks...Abby the mystery lover....more

Abby has been very into mysteries lately, ever since her preschool picnic where the hot dog buns mysteriously disappeared. Her teacher made it into a big game and the kids loved trying to figure out what happened to the hot dog buns. In the end, it was the teacher's dog, who typed a note to the class apologizing for eating their hotdog buns and for leaving her toys all over their classroom.

The teacher left the dog's toys in the room as clues and the kids looked for more clues on the playground. It was really cute watching them all run out to their parents to explain what happened at recess that day.

Soooooo now, we're into mysteries and mystery books. We went to the library and checked out some chapter books with mystery themes.

AND, I'm busy making up a mystery for the neighborhood kids to solve. Next week, we're going to go to a local pizza shop for lunch and I'm asking the waitress to play along by serving us a pizza with a slice removed. Should be fun!
