The way I am understanding this seat, is that with it tethered it holds the child in the harness up to 48lbs. Is this correct? And then after that they have to use the seatbelt till 80 lbs? Or can they use the harness after 48 pounds, like the super elite?

My dh would have a fit if I wanted to get this seat for Marena. I took her out of the harness in December and put her into the seatbelt with the booster. I really didn't want to,but the coat was just giving us problems. She is about 41 or 42 lbs. I know it is so much easier to use the seatbelt, but I also know she is safer in the harness.

So is it 48 pounds in the harness tethered? or 80 lbs? I don't even know if I can tether in my van. I haven't checked it out.

Those seats sure do look comfy.

Jen
