Hi Laura,

I tried to reply to your e-mail but it didn't go through. I don't want to post my phone# here... I'll try to e-mail you from home later.

I have a couple of questions. First, renting a car is unbelievably expensive, so we won't do that. However, we need to get from the airport (Jacksonville, most likely) to the hotel. Do you know if there is a bus service that will do that, and if so, how much it costs? I don't even know where to look for this information.

Second, I've never been nearer to Florida than NYC, so I know ZIPPO about it. (Well, I've been to Cuba, but for these purposes, that doesn't count.) We have tentatively booked a room at the Days Inn St. Augustine Beach. I know it's not a fancy resort, but do you know anything about it or about the area? The address is 541 A1a S Beach Blvd S. Also, since we won't have a car, do you know if there's a bus to the historic area of town?

I'm sure I'll have 100 more questions soon, but that's it for now.

Thanks a lot,

Beverlee

(Oh, did I tell you that we just had a winter storm and there's now 3 inches of heavy, slushy snow all over the city, and that more freezing rain is expected this weekend? GET ME OUT OF HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!)
