Ok Ladies, Here is the Scoop!
This is just an informational bit of news, and not an ad, please do not bash. Several people have asked me who runs the Dare To Dream side of the Doubleheader Nationals in Ft worth on July 20-22. Well folks, I do! I am the director of the Starburst USA National system and have been for three years. There are several reasons why I have two of them.
1. Starburst is a semi-glitz competition and Dare is the Total glitz anything goes competition. The reason I added the extra national, is that in the future there will be two levels of competitiors in the system under one name. You can compete in both, but must be aware of the differences in the rules for both.
2. The name Starburst will no longer exist after nationals,(but they are still my queens and will be treated as such) and Dare To Dream will be taking it's place. I am doing this because there are so many systems out there that have Star in their name and many of you are getting us confused. I have had many people say that they did my system, when in fact they have done Sunburst. Pageant camp was a good example. Nothing against you Lucy, just want you to know that. There is Starburst USA, Stars Over The Usa, Starlight, Stardust, Diamonds and Stars, Stars, Stars, Everywhere there are Stars. Sorry got carried away!. My point is, that many of us have similar names and I can understand how it can get confusing.
3. With this added Name, many of you are reluctant to try my system and I can understand that too. Ask several of my queens, from Texas and OK,( they have been in it since I started it and will be returning this year to do it again), how much fun we have had in the past.
I give out everything that I state, I give you a detailed judging form which the judges have at their tables to view, I hold a very fair competition with outside judges, I have a computer program that is set up to tabulate scores as they are entered, which is faster and more accurate than a person doing them. I can break ties with the move of a mouse (one girl won by a mere.02 last year) and at the end I can print a master scoresheet. I have awesome parties, which this year is a Masquarade Ball complete with the Cinderella theme. I give bucket crowns this year, I get in there with the kids, dance and have fun with them. This year we have a real live DJ with Karoyke and Prince Charming to dance with. I have a Big Beautiful Ballroom, which will be decorated like a prom and they will be treated like the queens they are. We will be taking entries at the door and would love to meet you again. (Sorry, that part did sound like an ad!)
Now ladies, I think I have explained away several of the misconceptions regarding the two systems and would love for you to either give me a call and we can talk more or e-mail me, I'm just a click of the mouse away! See you at Nationals!!
