Talked to the dealer, they tell me that since my check engine light isn't on, they cannot diagnose with consult?? They were stumped. Seems the only way anyone could even try to diagnose is if I can get the truck in while it's acting up, but since I never know when it will happen I'm screwed.

I happened across another message board and found a post from an owner of a 2000 Xterra who is having the exact problem, so I'm wondering if this is a design flaw. Any knowledge of recalls??
