Subject: Bought a regular truck - still yellow
In reply to: Steve Fisk 's message, "Re: Looks like no Yellow 2015 after all" on 13:53:24 06/24/15 Wed

Well, we test drove a few different vehicles and decided on a Chevy Colorado Crew cab Z71 - yellow of course. If the Xterra had still come in yellow, it probably would have been a harder choice to make. One of the big factors was the MPG. We have already taken an extended trip in the Chevy and averaged over 25MPG driving at highway speeds (70+). It looks like the Xterra had not made any improvements over the past 15 years (I had heard that was one reason this will be the last year for the Xterra). Anyway, our Xterra will still be around and plan on handing it down to our nephew as a first vehicle. He really enjoys the outdoors and will definitely take advantage of its offroad abilities. I do hope Nissan keeps the Xterra around as it fits a market/budget that is hard to compete with. We just have changed our needs over time and the larger hauling ability was something we were looking for - we are still getting used to the increased size, one thing I will miss about the Xterra.
