That is a Federal Law, starting with the *1987* model year! When I was selling Nissans in 1986, I went to start a 1987 Sentra that had just come out, but I didn't put the clutch all the way to the floor. Wouldn't start. Went to get the jumpers until someone clued me in. So yeah, all cars are like that and have been for a long time.

But I really do think this is a good one for Click and Clack.
