Subject: Help! My husband is deployed and my car is acting up.

My husband is deployed and of course I'm having problems with my 2000 xterra. It started acting like it is going to stall since sitting for 2 weeks while I was gone. It happens in wet weather and when I pull up into my friends driveway which is on an slight incline. It hasn't stalled, but acts like it's going to. Twice the service engine light has come on. Thought it was gas separated, but have filled it up 2x's now. Brought to mechanic and test said faulty knock sensor. I read on previous thread that this sensor does not set off service light. Have not had FSU checked. Any suggestions on what is wrong?
