You won't have to pay until after the work is done. Plus, ask them and they might work something out. (Mention about your husband. That should help.)

Also, if you are spending so much- ask for a free loaner car. I bet you get it.

Also, I always recommend buying a couple dozen donuts and bringing them with you to the service dept! Costs very little- goes a long way to buying good will. (Human nature- if they like you they will do favors for you.)
