Not really, no. Nissan is known for having very good paint. LOok at an old GM car with the paint peeling off and you will see an example of the opposite.

Something to keep in mind, something that no one seems to understand, is that the service manager WANTS to fix your car for free. All Nissans come with a 5 year unlimited mileage paint warranty. NISSAN pays under this, NOT the dealership. The dealership makes money by fixing something like this. But there are rules, and the service manager is not the one with the final say.

So I am sure he/she is correct. Stone chip.

You should fix it right away, BTW. It's not going to get any cheaper to fix it as the problem grows worse. Do it now. And once of prevention, blah-blah.
