Subject: Read your owner's manual, it doesn't just indicate the parking brake status.
In reply to: Xterrflex 's message, "Parking brake light comes on randomly??? (while driving!)" on 10:10:31 08/27/06 Sun

It indicates a problem with the brake system.
99.9% odds it's indicating low brake fluid (don't think it can indicate anything else actually), and 90% odds that the low fluid level is due to the disc brake pads being nearly worn out.
