Subject: Service Engine light always on

I have a 2002 Xterra which has been a problem since we bought it. The check engine light keeps coming on. We have taken it to the dealer at least 11 times on the same issue and it keeps coming up with the same code to replace the control valve. We are getting tired of this ongoing issue. I can't even take it to have the emmission test because it always fails due to this engine light. I would really love some insight on this issue.
