Subject: 2000 xterra climate fan

I just bought a 2000 xterra se with just a couple of minor issues and am looking for a little feedback. The climate control fan only works on the high setting. Any ideas? Also the gas gauge only registers to 3/4 of a tank and stays there until actual fuel level reaches that point and then works normally. Any ideas? Thanks
