Subject: Advice on Trailer Hitch for '00 Xterra XE

Hey all. I have a 2000 XE with only 84K miles. After 7 years, I'm finally going to put a trailer hitch on. I'm getting ready to make a cross-country drive from Georgia to California pulling a U-Haul trailer.

Does anyone have any advice on a particular hitch? Something that is reliable and easy to install. Also, any advice on driving tips with the trailer? I've read some debate on whether to turn the OD off or not. I'll take the southern route I-20 / I-10....going to Los Angeles so I won't get in the heart of the Rockies. Still, there will be some climbs along the way.

I can easily research trailer hitches on the net but I've popped into this forum from time to time and really respect the knowledge and experience here. So,any advice is appreciated!
