Maybe, but I'll tell you where the Jeep stumbles. It's a Jeep. Which means it's sure to be far less durable than an Xterra, and the resale value is far less percentage-wise. Also, the engineering and workmanship is likely to be subpar.

For a number of years at my former dealership, we just plain didn't want Jeeps as trade-ins. That was after several instances of Jeeps that had been traded in- only to have all the profit sucked out of the deal by hidden major repairs that we had to do after selling the vehicle, before we were able to deliver it. In a couple of cases we made a two or three grand in anticipated profit, only to find we had to do two or three thousand dollars in brake or transmission work. Got to the point where we just didn't want them no matter what.
