Subject: 2005 speedomitor off after 65

My 05 Exterra speedomitor is way off after 65 mph! If i go faster like 75 the majority of the cars are passing me and if i go the speed of traffic the speedomitor reads 85! The dealer says there are no moving parts and it can't be wrong! But i think its set to do that to keep you from going over 65! Any one out there have the same experience?
