** Food Expo closing **
This week is the final week of the Food Expo 2008. Some hoods may go on for a few more weeks, though. Mervil Market has been very busy trading fresh groceries, and a few speeches took place at the market, too.
This last week will be no exception; Mrs. Annalica Grumblin from Johanna's Kitchen will talk about fresh fruit, and Caribooks will introduce some new culinary books.
** Apartments **
Simmerville had apartments for a long time; at the Bon Voyage Retirement Home elderly Sims could rent a nice section, and the Trogernick Hospitz welcomed single adults who needed a temporary address. We have now adjusted both these offers slightly.
Bon Voyage Aparments do no longer offer common dining & saloon area etc, instead the 4 units are larger, and no longer restricted to seniors. 2 of the 4 sections are already taken. 2 apts have 2 bedrooms, and 2 top floor apts have just one bedroom but 2 balconies. All apts are large enough for 2-3 Sims.
Trogernick Hospitz has been adjusted to serve 2 households instead of 4 single Sims. Each apt has 2 bedrooms.
The rent has been adjusted for both, please contact the Hood Administration for details.
Simmerville is not signing the AL deal at this time, but will handle the apts like we did in the past.
** Weekday adjustments **
All households will now be forced to adjust their week schedule in order to sync weekdays. Due to the running of businesses, possible job promotions and school work etc, households can choose what simday they want to adjust their progression, but on end of simday 90 all houses must be on a Monday or they will be fined §500!
** New immigrants **
Simmerville's population is way too large, thanks to 3 female immigrants who moved to the hood without permission. All got illegally established in existing households. The hood will address a fee of §1000 for each of you.
These immigrants are Kayleen Lingerac, Carla Rigamon and Jasmyn Yang. You can all stay, but there will be no welcome ceremony!
** Upcoming election & new political system **
On the end of simday 90 there will be a new election. Because I just turned elderly, I will unfortunately need a replacement. Unless my supporters suggest a change in Laws.
We will follow the regular routine for elections, but anyone interested in council work should take the time to read up on politics.
We will lean to a new political model that covers a much larger region, including the nearest SimCity district. In fact Simmerville will no longer have a full council, but hopefully a couple representatives to the new and larger council. Advisors will still be based on community score, but can live anywhere in the region. The top advisor will be the region's spokes sim and representative to the larger SimCity council.
Simmerville will still have a local council with local advisors and a local Spokes Sim, but with less political impact. More information has been sent to all regional households.
Regards,
Mr. S. Gobelin
Spokes Sim & Business Advisor
