Hello, Simmervillians! I'm Marylena H. Gobelin, your new Spokes Sim and leader of your new Hood Council. I intend to keep posting local news the way the former Spokes Sims did.
We just closed simday 90, and completed the Age of Seasons. A new Age of Changes is starting on simday 91.
You can read about my new council on hinsides.no/simmerville. Two councillors are on to their 2nd running period, while 3 councillors are new on the Council. Note there are also some advisors who are not on the official council, you will find them all here. I will use them all more extensively than earlier!

A total of 153 Sims currently reside our hood! This is 3 more Sims than allowed. It means that no immigration will be permitted until the number is down. You can still apply to immigrate, but should expect some wait. Applications are automatically cancelled after 10 simdays. Getting engaged to a Simmervillian counts as an application.
Sims residing Simmerville illegally will be fined §5000 and dismissed without a warning.
-- New rental fares --
In Simmerville there are many lots for rent, both houses and appartments. Due to regional adjustments, we have implemented a new system to set the rent. Rent is now covering the entire unit and not affected by the number of household members. The key is §4 per private floor tile including balconies and terraces that are not a patio or natural part of the garden. The daily rent for a house or apartment unit counting 100 floor tiles will now be §400. If there is a garden or access to common facilities like a gym in the basement or a swimming pool on the apartment lot, §50 is added to the daily rent. Additional rent might be set by the lot owner.
The new rent, effective from simday 91, means higher cost per sim in smaller households, while larger households will save a little.

Simmerville web's webmaster, Garmund Brybrey, has asked to retire as he has reached elderhood. We are currently looking for his replacement. You must reside the Simmerville area, or if you live in SimCity you must be very familiar with Simmerville's past and presence. You must have a Litterature degree OR experience from the Journalism career minimum level 5. Contact me at simmerville@hinsides.no if you are interested.
PS: I just took over the Hood Administration Centre, and I do not know yet what changes will be done to the hood. So please stop asking me, when details are figured out, there will be good information in time!!!
