Subject: Def Leppard - 4/12 at The Beacon Theater NYC

Hi All,

The band (Corey, Dan, Duane, and I) plus some friends traveled into NYC last night to catch Def Leppard for the closing night of their Sold Out 3 night stand. First of all if you've never been to the Beacon to see a show - GO! It's a great place to see a band live. It holds about 2000 people which makes for a very intimate setting for everyone no matter where your sitting! Parking can be a pain but its worth it. We met a lot of cool new friends like Sara & Paula from Staten Island, some good old friends, Matt and Terri Carr for WDHA radio and can't I forget Beth.

Def Leppard took the stage at 8:50 with Let it Go and all I can say is WOW! The band looked and sounded, unbelievable -sorry couldn't help myself. Joe Elliot's vocals were outstanding! Phil, Vivian, Sav and the Thunder God Rick Allen were at the top of their game. They did a really good mix of old and new stuff, a little something for everyone! They even did a cover of "Piece of the Action" from the band Sweet and Joe Elliot did an Ian Hunter song, which the name escapes me right now, on the acoustic guitar by himself. Here's a list of what they played (not necessarily in order):

Let It Go
Piece of the Action (Sweet Cover)
StageFright
Bringin' on The Heartbreak
Make Love Like a Man
Switch 626
Hysteria
Long Way To Go (dedicated to the speedy and safe return of the troops)
Ian Hunter cover
Two Steps Behind
Now
Slang
Promises
Too Late For Love
Four Letter Word
Rocket
Women
Animal
Armageddon It
Rock of Ages
Photograph
Pour Some Sugar on Me

encores
Love Bites
Let's Get Rocked

The band was in great spirits and you could really tell they were having a great time. Joe Elliot promised that they would be back to NYC real soon and maybe even for 4 nights next time. If there is one thing I know for sure everyone that was there last night are really look forward to it!
