My mother was evacuated to six bells (upper arrail st)in ww2. She stayed with the Weaver family. She went to the County High School on the mountain (her words). Mr Weaver joined the RAF and never returned to the valley as he found a better life not working as a miner. My mother and her sister also had Lilly Klot as a friend and they all used to sing songs together as lilly decided she wanted to become a singer when she grew up (Georgia Brown) Does anyone remember the Weaver family or my mother Joe Festa.
