BASEBALL
The baseball team ended its home slate with a wild 17-16 win over visiting Ohio, improving its record to 21-27. There were eight home runs hit, seven bases stolen and 10 pitchers utilized in the game, but it was Jerry Pepe's (left) two-run homer in the bottom of the eighth that gave the Dukes the lead for good. Eleven different Dukes knocked out 16 hits with Jason Startari, Gary Lee and Jonathan Kelly each having three RBI. Tom Murtha picked up the win in relief while Brian Lowder collected a school record eighth save. The Dukes conclude the 2001 campaign as they travel to Fordham this weekend for a three-game set.
