Who cares what is or isn't punk? I may think that gordy guy sounds like a turd, but he's got a point. And what does it matter what kids think punk is? Uh oh, you kids might lose some style points if there's kids into a different music. Pop punk has existed as long as punk has existed. Look at the Sex Pistols. They were put together for the sole purpose of making filthy lucre. The fact that there's a new wave of poppy teenybopper punk bands out there means absolutely dick. 10 years green day was hot shit. Kids whined and moaned about how they'd kill punk. Whatever your personal opinion may be towards the current state of life in punk, most of you could agree that punk's in better shape then 10 years ago. So some kids throw mommy's money away at hot topic. who cares? That's called supporting the national economy. Damn, if you spent half the energy on promoting some...any worthwhile cause that you spend on bitching about pop punk then something positive might, for once, come from the punk scene. For people that believe in individuality, you sure do want everyone to be the same.
