Subject: Lous Superette , & Uncle Joes

Anyone out there remembers the calcaterra family, that owned 2 grocery stores on Ave L. one on e89 st and the other on e 98 st. We hung out with chris vitelli, the demeris, and lots of other people. How is everyone doing ? write back if you remember me, i would love to talk, and bring back all those good memories

I worked (part time) at Uncle Joe's from 1971 thru 1976. At that time, Sue ran the store, Mary was a full time employee, Joanne (Sue's daughter) worked from time to time, and Pat (Mary's daughter) was also worked part time behind the counter. I stocked shelves and did the counter from time to time. Eddie Schmierer stopped in daily, simply for a kiss from his sweetie Pat.

Anyone remember this generation of Uncle Joe's?
