They were still sitting there just like that - Brandon on one end of the couch and Maddy on the other, with the dogs inbetween - when Ryan and Stacie finally got home a good half hour or so later. She hadn't dozed off, but she was definitely completely relaxed and just surfing through the channels when the dogs jumped off the couch and ran to the door, whining, and moments later - the couple pushed in. Breathing out a calming sigh, she stood to greet her cousin and his wife before they really had a chance to notice the waking Brandon sitting there. "Hey, guys..." // He ushered Stacie in ahead of him and was just about to crouch down to greet their puppies when he saw Maddy. At first, a bright smile touched his features and he opened his mouth to say 'hello', but then he took note of the anxious way she was fidgetting with the hem of her tee and then finally noticed Brandon in the background. His brows raised and his jaw literally dropped, hands moving to push through his hair - he honestly felt like he was seeing a ghost.
