• He came out a few minutes later running a towel over his head as he smirked. "My sister wise up and run away finally?" He questioned, comfortable teasing his brother in law now about things of that nature. Before, it was kind of a sensitive topic thanks to the divorce...or near divorce...from before but now it was obvious to anyone and everyone that the two were in love and committed to one another, dedicated to their marriage. • He sighed dramatically and reached for his beer and then propped his feet up on the coffee table, but smirked after a moment. "I guess so. You'd think the woman would have the decency to at least leave a 'good bye' note." His tone was lighthearted and he laughed lightly, resting his head back as he watched the other man. • He laughed softly, shaking his head as he plopped down on the couch and cracked open the beer that was waiting. "Oh come on, just cuz your wife hates you, you trying to turn my girlfriend against me? That's wicked harsh." He smirked, tipping his head back against the couch and then laughing lightly as the dogs wandered out of the room, both of them looking at the door expectantly. He tossed the house phone to his friend with the pleading tone to his voice - he didn't want to sound like he was checking in on her, because he really was just missing her.. Brandon was her brother - allowed to be nosey whenever he wanted. He laughed softly at the dogs and patted the spaces of couch on either side of him. "C'mon puppies... Mama should be home soon." He looked over at Brandon again with a small smirk and a shrug, his beer resting against his chest as a hand dropped to either head of the dogs. "It is too normal. • He rolled his eyes and smirked as he dialed the phone to see where his sister was. He waited patiently through the ringback tone of some panic! at the disco song and then smirked as his sister answered. • His brows furrowed and he punched Brandon's shoulder, causing Colby to raise his head to watch carefully - he knew and trusted Brandon and so wasn't at all distressed, just watching to make sure that all was well with his daddy. Reaching over, he pulled the phone from Brandon's hand and put it to his ear, mussing a hand through the other guy's hair with a glare - but a goodnatured one. "Stace? It's me..." He grumbled at first and then softened his tone, because he wasn't upset with her, just with being mocked by his miserable, taunting friend. • She laughed softly, turning the cell phone to the other ear as she pulled into a parking spot instead of driving while on the phone. Ever since her accident she took every precaution. • "Yeah, he kinda is..." He pouted because he knew that she would sympathize with him - she totally babied him, but he was just a big baby anyway so it worked that she looked out for him. He laughed lightly finally - more at himself then anything and dropped his head back, his free hand smoothing Chey's ears affectionately. "I was just wondering when you'd be home... No rush or anything, just curious." He assured her quickly and shot another glare at Brandon, knowing the other guy was mocking him again. • "I am on my way home, I would have been home earlier but there was sidewalk sales going on at the mall and I got distracted." She stated with a shrug to her voice, her eyes moving over the emptying out parkinglot. "Careful, don't make Brandon over do it, he's wicked out of shape. He might keel over or something." She grinned teasingly and shifted the car into reverse but kept the brake on. "Is there anything good at the house for me to fix for dinner or do I need to stop at the grocery store?" • "Oh yeah? Did you buy anything?" Of course she bought something, but he thought he would ask anyway. He laughed softly at her teasing of her brother and then nodded a little, taking a long sip of his beer before responding again. "I'm sure there's something here for you to make... We can order in if we can't figure something out. Just come home..." Smiling slightly, he leaned forward to se this bottle on the coffee table and then toyed gently with Chey's soft ears again. • "Alright baby, I'll be home in a bit. Love you." She stated, wrapping up the conversation before she hung up and pulled on out of the parking lot. It didn't take her long at all to get home and just a few minutes later she was walking through the door to their lovely home. With a grin and an excited hello, she dropped down to greet her puppies, ruffling their ears and playing excitedly with them for a few minutes before she turned to look at her husband and brother. "Well go on Brandon, run along before you get in trouble with your little girlfriend." She stated with a teasing grin, still sitting on the ground with the dogs surrounding her. • "'k baby. Love you too." He said the quick goodbyes and then hung up to deal with Brandon's playful taunting until his wife returned home finally. He smiled as he watched her with the dogs and then laughed a little, giving Brandon's shoulder a gentle shove. "Yeah, you better get out of here. Maddy's a force to be reckoned with when she's mad..." The petite girl very, very rarely got mad though, and almost definitely wouldn't be just because Brandon was a little later then he said he would be. He slid off the couch to stretch out on the floor next to Stacie, holding his arms up by his face to keep the exciting puppy kisses from making contact with his face. "I'll call you tomorrow." • She stood up to give her brother a hug and kiss to the cheek goodbye and saw him to the door before she promptly let herself fall down into her husbands lap, cuddling up against him and letting their dogs nearly crawl on top of her. A grin crossed her lips as she looked up at him, pressing a kiss to the underside of his chin. "So, you missed me today, huh?" She questioned playfully, winking teasingly at him. "I missed you too!" • "Bye B'!" He called out to his friend and then smiled affectionately up at her when she returned to join him. One hand hooked into the waist of her jeans at her hip and the other reached up to just push through her hair. His gaze on her was adoring and maybe a little sheepish, his tongue touching his teeth before he nodded a little. "Yeah, I missed you maybe a little bit! • "I bought a suprise for later." She wiggled her brows playfully before continuing on. "And a pair of jeans and a sweater...and two shirts for you and a new leash for Chey since she chewed through her last one." She shifted to cuddle back against his chest before she decided better of it and stood up, tugging on his hand to get him to come with her. Her shoes were kicked off along the way, her shirt discarded onto the back of the couch and her jeans dropped on their bedroom floor before she crawled up into their prized possession - the huge king bed in the middle of the bedroom - and looked up at him. • "Oh... Really?" His brows raised at that and he broke a slow almost goofy grin, his arms wrapping tightly around her until she pulled away from him. He didn't need much encouragement to follow her and smiled a little at her swaying hips - he really was such a lucky man to have such a sweet, thoughtful, beautiful wife. Things hadn't always been perfect, but they were pretty close to it now these days - especially with Brandon being so good and things working out with Maddy and all that. He pulled the tie on his sweat pants and tugged off his tee shirt before crawling in after her. "I didn't shower after my run... I still might smell a little funky. Deal with it." Her eyes peeked over the bottom of the bed, watching the dogs come in and eye the bed with some contempt before they plodded on over to their beds on the ground along the wall near them. They had both gotten numerous lectures from strangers on owning 'vicious dogs' she thought it was ridiculous and often gave the strangers a piece of her mind if Ryan wasn't there to placate her. • "Should have closed the door..." He murmured when the puppies came in - he always felt a little weird when things got too hot and heavy with the dogs around. He smirked a little at her comment on his stench and definitely appreciated her kind opinion. A hand pushed slowly through her hair and then down her back to twist into the soft fabric at her side, his gaze affectionate on her. "Nah.. I had them on the leashes of course and we were by the playground and some stupid woman started screaming... Like literally screaming, when Chey ran by her kid. Chey just started crying though and came right between Brandon and me... I didn't even bother saying anything to the woman. Poor puppy, she had no idea what she did wrong..." • She sighed deeply, shaking her head on the pillow as she gazed at him. "I hate when people do that, no one screams when a Jack Russel goes running by and snaps at them but everyone freaks out if Chey so much as looks at anyone. Poor girl." She rolled her eyes again, smirking. "I got a talk from a woman about how if we ever have children we will have to get rid of our dogs." She had promptly told the woman that the dogs were their children and a much accepted part of the family and then asked if the woman had gotten rid of her older children when she had new ones. • "I know... It's so stupid... But it's those few bad owners who ruin it for everyone." It bothered him a little bit initially, but he never let it for very long. He knew his dogs well and trusted them wholeheartedly and that was what mattered to him the most. He shook his head a little, agreeing with her completely about how ridiculous it was - but they couldn't change everyone's beliefs. He dipped his head to catch her lips sweetly and then his hand curled over the small of her back to gently pull her so she was just lying over him. Resting his head back in the pillows, he pushed a hand through her hair again, watching her thoughtfully for a moment before questioning curiously. "What do you think about kids?" • She willingly moved so she was covering him, one leg on either side of his, her chest resting over his ribs as she gazed up at him, her hands folded over his chest with her chin resting on them. "I like them...I think they are a little germy though." She shrugged a little bit. "I think the dogs would be fine around them if they were ever to be around them for any amount of time. • His hands ran up and down her sides as she settled over him, touch light but warm as his gaze lingered on hers, listening to what she had to say and processing it before speaking again. "Do you think we'll have them someday?" He had just assumed it for the longest time, but as they'd been back together for quite a while now and the topic hadn't come up lately, he'd just gotten to thinking about it lately. Any disagreements that they might have, he believed they could work through until they sorted things out. "I was just wondering if maybe we should start thinking about sooner rather than later... • She grinned teasingly, ducking her head into the curve of his neck for a moment, letting her lips rest there as she spoke. "We'd have to get rid of our killer dogs." She stated teasingly, nipping playfully at his skin before she drew back and smiled at him warmly, her coming up to rake through his thick hair, breaking it free from it's gel.
