JonBenet Ramsey
(August 6,1990-Christmas Day 1996)
On a bright, summer day in August in the year 1990, a baby could not wait to get into this world! Her mother, Patsy, barely got into the hospital when JonBenet knew it was her time to come!
Little JonBenet was born on August 6th, 1990 in a nice hospital outside of Atlanta, Georgia. From right then and there, her family knew that there was something special about her. She grew up into a happy six year old girl! She loved to hula hoop, ice skate, be with her family, and most of all, play with her friends! She loved to perform, and loved school. She was also a helper! She hated to see people sad. Her kindergarten teacher recalled when one time a student didn't bring enough treats for the whole classroom, JonBenet suggested cutting the treats in half, so that everyone would have some. Kindness like that really showed how JonBenet really cared about people and other things. But on Christmas day, 1996, an intruder came into her house, and killed her.
I posted this to remember JonBenet, not to remember of how the tabloids made her look, but to remember her as the little six year old who to love to hula hoop. This was a little girl who loved to run barefoot. One time she started to run around barefoot in her home in Michigan, and her aunt started to run after her. "JonBenet! Please put your shoes on! I don't want you to get hurt!” And she said "Well Auntie!! Please!! I want to feel the earth move under my feet!”
Here’s a song written for her:
Destined to be a beauty queen
time stood in the way
Until a little princess vanished
Leaving Christmas day
Santa came by her house early
She gave glitter for his beard
He later testified to her sadness
Was there something she feared
Vision of sugar plums turn to sorrow
presents under the tree
A innocent child sleeps at nine thirty
The rest remains..a mystery
Midnight strikes with a scream
To those inside it goes unheard
Neighbors hear a cry of terror
Her parents not a single word
A ransom letter was written demanding
money for her life
No signs of an intruder Only.
a son, husband, and wife
Chorus
Happily ever after was taken
the child rest peacefully
The world lost an innocent life
a killer stills roams free.
