I'm in the process of updating our entertainment roster, and I came across your band's website online. I visited your website and learned what I could about you, and my interest is piqued! We're in a position to be able to provide some daytime gigs for you, and I'm writing to request delivery of your promo materials, as well as some additional information. My question in regard to pricing has to do w/ time of day and day of the week. SANDA Events, a corporate events planning company, deals mainly with real estate management companies who schedule events for their office tenants during a time when they would be around to participate-- namely, in the middle of a regular workday. It has been our experience that musicians are often willing to reduce a fee for a day/time of day that they otherwise would not be assured of a gig. My question is, if we wanted to hire your band to provide music for 2 hours in the middle of the afternoon on a weekday, would/could this affect the fee we would then be charged? If so, what would your fee be? We would need you to provide your own sound system-- would your fee include this? We would not require any lights or other production elements-- just the band and the equipment needed to amplify you. If this is the kind of situation that you think you could work with, could you do me the favor of e-mailing or faxing me a price list that takes the circumstances I've mentioned (time of day, day of week, etc.) into account? (Our contact information can be found below-- any and all materials should be sent to my attention) I would love to add your name and this information to our roster, and perhaps send some more business your way if you're available. We will also require a current demo (CD's if possible, as many as you can spare-- 6 to 8 would be GREAT) so that we can accurately promote you to our clients.
